Meet The Experts at our Chilliwack Showroom.
When a multi-national window and door company closed shop in the BC market many good, hardworking people lost their jobs, and families their livelihood.
Armed with a dream to provide employment for those workers and a new approach to the industry, one of those inspired people dared to forge a new path. Westeck Windows and Doors emerged as a start-up with a chip on its shoulder and a mandate to listen to the needs of its customers. What they learned would form the very DNA of Westeck.
Now, nearly 20 years later, almost 250 employees, and significant product and process advancements, we never forget where we came from. We also look forward as create our future.
Chilliwack BC, is home of our manufacturing and administration facilities, as well as Showroom #1. Located in the Fraser Valley, Chilliwack makes for a perfect location with quick access to the BC interior, as well as west into Vancouver and Vancouver Island.

Introducing the Experts of Fenestration at Westeck Chilliwack
Meet Justin
Justin Vroegop- Fraser Valley Sales Manager
1: Before working in windows and doors, what was your career path
I completed my horticulture apprenticeship and was working on landscaping/hardscaping custom homes in Vancouver, I then moved from that into the renovation market where I spent 5 years installing windows and doors.
2: If you could meet any HGTV or TV designer, who would it be?
Jillian Harris– I enjoy watching “love it or list it” and the transformation that she accomplishes with the homes is amazing.
3: What makes Westeck special for you?
The willingness of the company to grow and the readiness to invest in the employees. Westeck has always been a leading brand in the industry and that does not come without a dedicated team.
4: What is your favorite product Westeck carries?
The magnificent sliding doors would be my favorite product, it’s so gratifying when a client comes into a showroom and they have a 14, 16 or 18’ opening to fill and their eyes just light up when you show them the EliteSlide, GrandView, or Vinyl LiftSlide patio door and explain to them the size of product we can supply them

Meet Stephen
Stephan K-Project Consultant
1: Before working in windows and doors, what was your career path?
I worked on a dairy farm and was planning to become an electrician. I started at Westeck when I was 18 and have now been here for almost 15 years.
2: If you could meet any HGTV or TV designer, who would it be?
I work with some incredibly inspiring designers through the Fraser Valley, I can’t imagine anyone more inspiring.
3: What makes Westeck special for you?
The fact that Westeck is always pushing for new products and always pushing to be the best is what makes Westeck special to me. When I’m able to fill virtually every window and door need my clients are looking for is something that anyone in sales would appreciate!
4: What is your favorite product Westeck carries?
My favorite product is our Vinyl LiftSlide patio door. The look of these doors and especially their operation never seems to get old after all these years. Clients who are not familiar with the product have such a positive reaction every time and it’s rewarding when you see your product change people’s opinions on sliding doors!
Meet Ben
Ben S-Project Consultant
1: Before working in windows and doors, what was your career path?
I went to university, got a BSc in Biology, and a BEd, then spent five years teaching Grade 8. Seem to be an unlikely precursor to being a project consultant at Westeck? During my career as a teacher I worked at the Westeck door shop during the summer holidays to stay busy, which has definitely helped pave the way to where I am now. Also, my dad is a custom home builder, so I grew up in the construction industry, which helps me feel comfortable on job sites and have a better understanding of the whole process.
2: If you could meet any HGTV or TV designer, who would it be?
I don’t really watch these shows, but my wife would like me to meet Chip and Joanna Gaines from Fixer Upper so she could come along!
3: What makes Westeck special for you?
The nicest thing about working here is that I have confidence in the quality of the windows and doors I am recommending to people. While working in the door shop I got a really good indication of the quality workmanship that was expected of employees. Also, we have a wide selection of products to choose from, so I’m not restricted to a certain type of window or a certain type of door. I know that if I can help my customer find the right window and door combination for their home, they will not be disappointed in the quality.
4: What is your favorite product Westeck carries?
I love our Vinyl or Metal Clad LiftSlide patio door. It operates like a dream. One of my favorite moments with customers in the showroom is pushing that 300 pound panel with one finger, and watching it slide away.
Meet Alisha
Alisha K- Project Consultant- Walk in Sales
1: Before working in windows and doors, what was your career path?
I was a Barista at Starbucks going to school, I made the best lattes anyone has ever had!
2: If you could meet any HGTV or TV designer, who would it be?
I personally don’t watch a lot of TV so I’m not too familiar with HGTV, but I’m a huge fan of a blog called Mind Body Green. They write about making your home Feng Shui and how to style your home at a minimalist approach. I would love to meet Dana Claudat who adds a modern touch to the Feng shui style.
3: What makes Westeck special for you?
I love the people I work with! Being new, I couldn’t ask for more supportive and helpful coworkers. Everyone is here to support you in any way they can to make sure you succeed.
4: What is your favorite product Westeck carries?
My favorite product would have to be our Casement combo series. I love how it is practical on the exterior for the Fraser Valleys climate, but warming and homey on the interior
