About
LEEP (Local Energy Efficiency Partnerships) Innovation Exchange – Vancouver
June 15, 2018, 7:45 am to 4:00 pm
A popular home builder training event series returns to British Columbia this month with a three-city tour.
The Local Energy Efficiency Partnerships (LEEP) workshops aim to help home builders identify the energy efficiency solutions that are best suited for the region they work in, and connect them with resources to help them design and construct to a higher performance level. Natural Resources Canada facilitates the sessions, and BC Housing sponsors it with utilities and regional partners. This month’s three-session series will recap learning and results from previous LEEP workshops in Prince George, Vancouver, and Kelowna.
Builders will speak about the envelope and mechanical systems they selected for their high-performance trial home, while technical experts will share insights on how best to use the systems that the builders chose as a blueprint for their peers. BC Housing, BC Hydro, and Fortis BC host the LEEP Innovation Sessions in partnership with CHBA Northern Interior (in Prince George, June 12), CHBA Central Okanagan (in Kelowna, June 14), and the Greater Vancouver Home Builders Association (in Vancouver, June 15).
