Here at Westeck, we are proud to have been involved in 5 separate projects recently nominated for Georgie Awards with the Canadian Home Builders Association of BC. Today we focus on a fully custom carriage house in Mission, BC titled Inverted Elegance, built by Lacey Construction.
Being recognized as a contributing company for such a project is quite the honor. We reached out to Cassidy Carew, the homeowner, to ask “Why did you choose Westeck?”.
Why I Chose Westeck
As a homeowner who was involved in every step of the design, build and execution in the construction of my home, choosing who I work with was of utmost importance and value. Not only am I a homeowner but a supplier in the construction industry as well, so sourcing my materials and feeling I am getting the best value while uncompromising on my design were key components in choosing my window manufacturer, particularly since they were side by side with my product lines which are on the high end of building envelope solutions.
I knew Westeck had a good reputation in the industry. Quality, craftsmanship and modern design were key factors in my decision. I had met several of their staff members at various tradeshows and I felt they were on the same page with their products as I was with our company. Although they have various styles and price ranges in their product offering their staff, between the initial trade shows and their showroom were simple to navigate and was quickly able to choose the style and range which would best suit my home. The black trim adds a modern style complimenting beautifully with Westcoast Wood’s black shingle panels and engineered T&G. The design of both my house and inverted coach house are literally bringing the outdoors in to showcase the amazing views of Mt. Baker and beyond. Having a low-quality window were simply not an option nor would it have worked with the other materials chosen to design this Georgie Award Nominee, 2x Fraser Valley Home Builders Nominee, etc.
As a homeowner and fellow industry supplier, I have enjoyed working with Westeck, and would highly recommend them for any future projects.
